An Australian consumer electronics manufacturer, Kogan, has launched a new Android tablet, which it says is the cheapest in its category. The ten-inch tablet, named Agora, costs 179 dollars and runs Android”s latest Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0 operating system.
According to News.com.au, a 16G version is also available for 199 dollars.
Data from the Get Price comparison site shows that most 8GB, ten-inch tablets cost 219 to 430 dollars.
Kogan founder Ruslan Kogan said that the Agora is the cheapest tablet in the market.
“For a multi-touch screen like this with these features and Android’s Ice Cream Sandwich, the new Kogan Agora 10 is the cheapest, by a long shot,” Kogan said.
